The Peter Burns Moot is an annual competition based on a criminal fact pattern. The participants receive nearly private tutorials from members of the legal community - whether it would be highly respected lawyers or judges - that help them prepare for the final trial. Eight students participate and two get chosen to represent UBC nationally and possibly even internationally (I think).
Congrats go out to this years winners - Jovan and Grady and to Betsy - the back up, that will take one of their places if there is the need for it. But also congrats to everyone else who participated. The work put into it was phenomenal and the end result fantastic!
